What is QVS Quite Sounder (AVAS)?

This warns pedestrians and other VRU’s that a quiet vehicle is approaching

Incorporating bbs-tek technology multi-frequency, directional and instantly locatable sound which is only heard in the hazard zone.

Front speaker system

Pitch and volume increase with vehicle speed in a similar way as an internal combustion engine

Sound cut out above a pre-set speed threshold

designed for electrical  and hybrid-electric vehicles of all types

Requirements

The QVS requires a 4 pulse per metre speed signal.

Tachograph – Speed signal provided by vehicle tachograph pin B8. Cut off speed of system may vary depending on tachograph type.

** If your vehicle is not equipped with a Tachograph, please contact us for alternative installation methods**

*CAN interface (requires additional CAN interface) – Connect the required QVS inputs to your CAN interface. Connect the CAN interface to a suitable CAN bus on the vehicle. The CAN interface will then convert the vehicle CAN signals to output signals that are compatible with the QVS input signals.
